The I Statement

Made for Moore

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT THAT MAY OR MAY NOT MATTER TO YOU:

I found the word that describes my latest life’s work:

Mooring.

“Molly WTF is mooring?”

Well I’m so happy you asked. :)

Mooring (mʊərɪŋ)

Word forms: moorings plural

  1. (noun) A mooring is a place where a boat can be tied so that it cannot move away, or the object it is tied to.

  1. (figuratively) Something to which one adheres, or the means that helps one to maintain a stable position and keep one's identity - moral, intellectual, political, etc.

(I know… definitely a very Virgo-ian thing to be excited about: words.)

But this word made sense to me and it finally made everything I’ve wanted to put together come cohesively into one summarized package.

The highlighted definition reminds me EXACTLY of the goal within my business as I am building it:

To help women through the blocks that hold them back, perhaps wounds from the past, and get them to really moore themselves to their most authentic purpose and direction.

How?

Via education, resources, and astrology (Which I will be offering all soon).

We are all in need of mooring to something of importance to us.

Otherwise without it, our lives just kinda feel empty AF.

So this brings me to ask you:

What are you mooring yourself to?

What is your sense of purpose, meaning, direction in your life?

What is the thing(s) your life is about?

And TBH, it has taken me 5 years to answer these exact questions so don’t feel bad if you don’t have them right away.

After a childhood of emotional neglect, I have finally been able to answer that question without the protective numbing and disconnection I put up for all my childhood years.

I talk about purpose a lot in my newsletters.

I have finally dwindled it down to me having this NEED to help other people figure their shit out (💙 and I say shit lovingly). This is my mooring.

And so, in this short newsletter, I wanted to share a couple of questions that may help you to figure out what your mooring is:

  1. Name your top 10 accomplishments - If you are not able to name 10, you have some exploring in your life to do.

  2. Is there anything you’ve felt called to for no apparent reason over and over again throughout your life? - It doesn’t have to be a thing, it can also be an urge to do SOMETHING. Can you pint point what that is? This is your intuition.

  3. Why do you enjoy the things you currently enjoy? - This tells you about your personality.

  4.  What do you feel is a really important issue you have solved for yourself that you can help others figure out? - Shows your priorities.

  5. What stands in the way of you getting your shit together and going all in on your interest? - This shows your awareness.

At first you may not know the answers, and you will feel Alien to yourself. But keep at it!

(You a cute Alien tho.)

Figuring out what your life is about and what your mooring is, is an entire life’s work, and it evolves as you evolve.

Today you may want to devote yourself to the idea of making pottery and bringing your brand of beauty into the world.

As you grow, you realize you want to ground yourself to the idea of opening a shop to teach others how to do it and bring beauty into their lives.

You might realize you’ve always felt a calling to be an artist and then later on feel inclined to be a mother.

It SHIFTS. Don’t psyche yourself out on deciding the ONE thing for the rest of your life.

That shit is scary AF.

You’re human betch, don’t fool yourself.

BUT you do have a duty to yourself to KNOW yourself.

You should at the very least KNOW what your grounded to and sticking to NOW.

What is most important to you NOW.

Sending you much love and I hope these questions help! ❤️
