The I Statement
Borrow a Dance From Future Celebrations
My imagination and ability to visualize has always been a prime tool on my spiritual journey.
I know that sounds bogus AF, but its the truth.
In my imagination, I’ve played in the woods with my younger selves which allowed me to begin reparenting myself.
I have done hypnosis on past lives and seen myself as a pioneer woman (Did this while sober, I might add).
I’ve visualized job interviews before they happen to increase my chances of success.
I’ve visualized talking to spirit guides and deceased loved ones.
I mean, I have used some serious imagination power to help me understand and know myself.
And still one of the biggest and most impactful things I have imagined has been my future self.
My future self has all the wisdom I am currently looking for and connecting with her has made me a better version of myself today.
And I was only able to connect to her using the tools of imagination/visualization.
You know all this woo-woo stuff gurus have you do where you visualize “this” or meditate on “that”?
It is all for a purpose and that is because your imagination is a PRIMARY tool to help you gain access to information you may not currently have.
I am going to be super straight forward and say that I am a actively trying to solicit visualization to you in this letter. 😇 Why?
For one very, VERY specific reason: To let you know that you NEED to begin to visualize your future self.
If there is ONE thing you begin to visualize, let it be your future self.
That future version of you is the one that holds all the answers to get you to where you want to go — Because they’re already THERE.
Your future self is the you that has gotten to celebrate your successes.
Your future self has learned to trust themselves.
Your future self has figured out all the obstacles standing between you and what you want.
Lately, I have found myself gaining tremendous insight from my future self.
I’ve visualized exactly what job she has, the population she is helping, and who I need to be to now to make sure she makes it there.
There isn’t a right way to do this; Personally, I meet my future self in her office and pick her brain and observe her working.
I’ll give you an example of the woman I see in my future self:
The bitch is awesome, and has learned to give less shits about the nonessential stuff, and doesn’t get flustered or mad about much.
She is super focused on only that which matters most, working only a few hours a day to make time for her loved ones.
She is as organized as ever and has an agenda she keeps everything in, very on point and it comes easily to her to balance the work of entrepreneurship.
She’s caring, kind, and always is a good host- She enjoys creating and maintaining relationships.
And she listens to herself, she respects herself and shows herself kindness in her thoughts, feelings and actions.
She is occupied with creating spiritual products like agendas, journals, workshops and courses that will help others.
This is truly what brings her happiness: Creating and dispersing that out into the world.
Honestly, I really want to urge you to try this exercise. Meet your future self wherever the hell it comes easiest for you to imagine, and just observe them, FEEL into their energy, and write it down.
This is especially important if you’re someone like me who has the urge to do something bigger than you, but doesn’t have the slightest idea of what to do next. :)
There is a Hassidic saying that goes, “If you cannot celebrate today, borrow a dance from future celebrations.”
Borrow their energy, and think of how different that feels compared to where you’re at: What do you need to do to achieve what THEY feel like?
Make it a date with yourself ❤️
